As many of you have been tracking, Hurricane Idalia made landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region near Keaton Beach on Wednesday, August 30th, as a Category 3 storm. We are fortunate to report that all of our Tampa employees have been accounted for and are safe. Our Tampa operating center will resume normal, in-person operations effective Thursday, August 31.

In anticipation of Hurricane Idalia, ReliaQuest took proactive measures to deploy additional personnel to our Las Vegas and Salt Lake City operating centers to aid in the continuity of service to our customers. ReliaQuest’s cloud-native platform, GreyMatter, did not experience any service disruptions due to Hurricane Idalia.

We sincerely appreciate the outreach and well-wishes from our customers and partners. Our thoughts are with our neighbors in North Florida and all those affected by the storm.

As many of you may already know, a hurricane warning for Tropical Storm Idalia has been issued for Florida’s West Coast which includes the Tampa Bay Area. Hurricane readiness is nothing new to ReliaQuest and is something we take very seriously. We have already activated our response plans to ensure availability of the ReliaQuest GreyMatter cloud-native platform (which is hosted in multiple, geographically diverse, AWS high-availability regions) and continuity of our service to our customers. These proactive actions include, as necessary, activating additional capacity from our other locations in Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and Dublin, Ireland, should conditions warrant.

If you have any questions or concerns about specific coverage on your account, we ask that you reach out to your main contact in our Customer Success or Sales departments. We will continue to monitor the storm and will provide updates via the ReliaQuest blog.
