Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Brian Murphy is the founder and CEO of ReliaQuest, the force multiplier of security operations and one of the largest and fastest growing companies in the global cybersecurity market. Murphy has grown ReliaQuest from a boot- strapped startup to high- growth unicorn with a valuation of over $1 billion, over 1,200 global team members, and over $350 million dollars in growth equity with firms such as FTV Capital and KKR Growth. Murphy has received numerous accolades for his leadership, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.
President of Field Operations
Colin O’Connor, President of Field Operations at ReliaQuest, is responsible for all revenue operations of the company. Over the past 13 years with ReliaQuest, he has played a key role in nearly every area of the company, helping to architect and enhance ReliaQuest’s solutions for its customer base of Fortune 1000 companies. Colin is an active member of the technology and information security community and has held roles with the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, ISSA, BSides, and InfaGard. As a result of his rapid growth trajectory and broad impact across cybersecurity, he recently received Florida State University’s College of Business Recent Alumni Achievement Award.
President of Product and Technical Operations
With more than 30 years of experience leading high-performance teams across information security brands, Brian Foster is responsible for overseeing all areas of the company’s product management, including product design and user experience. He currently serves as a strategic advisor to Awingu, a provider of unified workspace software. Prior to joining ReliaQuest, Foster was Chief Product Officer at MobileIron, where he helped reposition the company to focus on Zero Trust. He also founded a startup in the identity management space and held various senior product leadership roles with Neustar, Damballa, McAfee and Symantec.
Chief Financial Officer
Greg Farrell is Chief Financial Officer at ReliaQuest, overseeing all financial aspects of the company. Over the last six years, Greg has brought about global operations expansion and high growth for the company. In 2019, he was a Tampa Bay Business Journal CFO of the Year Honoree in recognition of his work at ReliaQuest. Farrell began his career in Audit and Assurance at PwC after graduating from Florida State University, where he received his BA in Finance and Accounting as well as his Master’s in Accounting. Prior to working at ReliaQuest, Farrell worked in finance, SEC reporting, and Mergers and Acquisitions at Jabil, a publicly traded Fortune 500 company and manufacturing solutions provider.
Chief Technology Officer
Joe Partlow is the CTO of ReliaQuest, a leading Information Security services provider and is currently involved with new product initiatives along with research and development efforts. Joe has been involved in the Information Security field for over 20 years, in both the defensive side and offensive capabilities. Current projects and interests include data ingestion/analytics at scale, DFIR, threat intelligence & Hunting, security metrics & automation and machine learning. Joe has experience in many business verticals including retail, healthcare, financial, state/local government and the Department of Defense. He is also a regular speaker and contributor at security conferences, groups and associations. Joe has a degree in Computer Information Systems and holds many industry-specific certifications.
CIO and Executive Vice President of Operations
Regina Marrow is the CIO and Executive Vice President of Operations for ReliaQuest. She is responsible for the company’s global internal systems, infrastructure and technology initiatives for scaling internal platforms and deriving data driven insights to keep pace with company growth and geographic expansion. Marrow has more than 20 years of experience in IT, having previously served as the CIO at ConnectWise, a multi-billion dollar global software company and as the Executive Director over IT for the North American operating unit for Gerdau, a multi-billion dollar steel manufacturer. Marrow has also held technology transformation and executive roles at companies such as EY and Accenture. During her time at EY, Marrow led the Third-Party Risk Management practice for the Central region and led a number of client-driven technology initiatives, including leading a team of more than 300 people to develop and deliver client technology and support needs as a result of the global pandemic. Regina earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from the University of Central Florida and is a recognized Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). She also has certifications in Change Management and Risk Management and is involved with the local Boys & Girls Club of Tampa Bay. Regina and her husband Jason have two children. Regina’s interests include traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends."
Chief Strategy Officer
"Jason Pfeiffer, Chief Strategy Officer for ReliaQuest, is responsible for strategic initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and market needs. Jason joined ReliaQuest in 2016, and has held various roles leading the Incident Response team, the Security Operations organization, and the Product Management team. Prior to joining ReliaQuest, Jason spent his career building and leading world-class cyber security programs for global businesses, including Lockheed Martin and PwC. He earned his B.S. in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Central Florida (UCF) and his M.S. in Technology Management from RPI. Jason also holds several industry certifications including the CISSP, ISSAP, CISM and C/EH and in 2015 he was awarded the Senior Information Security Professional of the Year by ISC2."
SVP, Security Operations
Mike McPherson, Senior Vice President of Security Operations, leads ReliaQuest’s global security operations team. Prior to joining ReliaQuest, McPherson most recently served as the Special Agent in Charge of the Tampa Field Office at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). In this role, he led the field office’s 600-person workforce for all cyber, national security, and criminal investigations across Central Florida. McPherson has more than 20 years of experience, which includes serving as the FBI’s Counterterrorism Division chief of operations for the domestic and international terrorism program. At the FBI, he developed strategies, aligned resources, and lead operations to combat terrorists’ use of the internet both as a weapon and a means of communication through encryption and obfuscation. McPherson is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy and served on active duty for 10 years before joining the FBI.
Chief Of Staff And Head Of Corporate Communications
Kim Hill is a communications leader with experience in higher education, business and media. As Chief of Staff and Head of Corporate Communications and ReliaQuest, Kim manages strategic priorities for ReliaQuest CEO Brian Murphy, in addition to executive communications, internal communications, corporate PR and community partnerships. She previously served as Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Communications at the University of South Florida. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in journalism from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of South Florida.
SVP, MARKETING
Laurie Morylak is the Senior Vice President of Marketing at ReliaQuest, where she leads the global marketing teams, including field and channel marketing, demand generation, product marketing, content strategy, analyst relations, creative, social media, and tech PR. With over 15 years of experience, Morylak's focus has been on creating exceptional and innovative customer experiences that drive scale and growth while leading teams to achieve pivotal company outcomes and revenue targets. Before joining ReliaQuest, she led field marketing and events for LogRhythm, a SIEM software provider, and Penton, an information services company acquired by the Informa Group in 2016. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in retail management from Purdue University.
Director Of Mental Performance
Derin McMains is a former professional baseball player and manager, now Director of Mental Performance at ReliaQuest. McMains has spent the last decade-plus training athletes, executives and other high performers using mental performance principles to take their game to the next level. He’s built out mental performance programs for the San Francisco Giants, Seattle Mariners, and the University of Notre Dame. One of the most important skills he teaches is a simple (yet not easy) one: learning how to be a high performer by staying in the present moment.

Dave Welsh (San Francisco) joined KKR in 2016 and is the Head of the Tech Growth Strategy and Next Generation Technology (“NGT”) Funds. He serves on the NGT Investment Committee and the NGT Valuation Committee. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Five9, OneStream and ReliaQuest. He has been actively involved with investments in 1011, CarWave, Cherwell, ForgeRock, iValua, Jio, Jitterbit, KnowBe4, Lyft, o9, RainFocus, ReliaQuest and Restaurant365. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Welsh was a Partner with Adams Street Partners, where he focused on technology growth equity investments. Earlier in his career he was an EVP of Corporate Development and Strategy at McAfee, Inc., a General Partner at Partech Ventures and VP of Corporate Development at Portal Software. He holds a B.A., cum laude, from UCLA and a JD, order of the coif, from UC Berkeley and Harvard Law Schools. Mr. Welsh also is active in the non-profit sector, serving on the Board of SEO Scholars SF and the Special Olympics of Northern California & Nevada, as well as being the former Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Athenian School.
Stephen Shanley is a Partner in KKR’s London office and head of KKR’s Tech Growth business in Europe. He joined KKR in 2014 and has been involved in the firm's investments in ReliaQuest, KnowBe4, Darktrace, OutSystems, Wolt, Qonto, +Simple, Leapwork, Ornikar, Feedzai, Zwift, GetYourGuide, Ivalua, Trainline, ContentSquare, Optimal+, and Travelopia. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Shanley was with Technology Crossover Ventures in Palo Alto, California and subsequently London. Prior to TCV, Mr. Shanley was with the TMT investment banking group of Needham & Company and started his career in the transaction services group of KPMG. Mr. Shanley holds a BS and a BSC from Santa Clara University.
Mike Burkland is the chairman of the board and former president and CEO at Five9, a cloud contact center solution provider. Through Burkland’s leadership, Five9 has increased its revenue by 50x and increased its valuation by 700x to over 10 billion, becoming one of the largest and fastest growing providers of cloud contact center software. Before Five9, Burkland was the CEO of several enterprise software and cloud companies in market segments ranging from systems management and content management to security and CRM. He also led three private companies through successful acquisitions by public companies.
John Spiliotis brings more than 35 years of technology Sales and GTM leadership experience across multiple industries. His most recent operating role was at Palo Alto Networks from 2013-2017, where he was responsible for driving the company’s direct and indirect sales in the Americas across all customer segments, growing the business from $300m to $1.8B. Currently, Spiliotis is an advisor to the KKR Next Generation Technology team and an advisor to several venture capital and private equity-backed growth companies.
John Fernandez brings 25+ years of experience working with high-growth software companies, ranging in size from start-ups to large public companies. Most recently, John spent 10 years at ForgeRock, an identity management platform for enterprises, where he took the company public (NYSE: FORG) and subsequently sold the company to Thoma Bravo. Prior to ForgeRock, he worked for Rearden Commerce, Siebel Systems and UBS Financial Services. Currently, John is an advisor to Auditoria.ai and serves as Audit Committee chair to ReliaQuest.
With more than 25 years of experience in driving go-to-market strategies for both large and medium companies and hyper growth startups, Kara Wilson has played an integral role in growing some of the most influential technology companies, including Okta, FireEye, Rubrik, and Cisco. She also currently serves as a board member for a number of companies including Paychex, KnowBe4, OneStream, and OutSystems in conjunction with her Senior Advisor role at KKR & Co.
Patrick Devine joined KKR in 2017 and is a member of the tech growth equity team, focusing on investments in Europe and the Americas. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Devine was with Guidepost Growth Equity in Boston, investing across the software and internet sectors. He started his career at AGC Partners in its technology investment banking group. Mr. Devine holds a B.A. in Economics and Classics, cum laude, from Tufts University.
Kyle has been a growth equity investor at FTV Capital for over 15 years and leads investments in enterprise technology & services, financial services and payments & transaction processing. Prior to joining FTV, Kyle was an investment banking associate with Berkshire Capital Securities, focusing on transactions in the financial services sector. In 2020 and 2021, Kyle was named a Top 40 Under 40 Growth Investor by GrowthCap. He also sits on the Trinity College Board of Fellows.
Mark is a Founder and General Partner of Ten Eleven Ventures, the industry’s original venture capital fund focused solely on investing in cybersecurity. The firm invests globally and is stage agnostic and partners with KKR for growth stage and later investments. Since its founding in 2015, Ten Eleven has invested in 40+ companies and raised three funds. Prior to founding Ten Eleven, Mark was a partner at Fairhaven Capital and Managing Director for Motorola Ventures. Mark also previously headed up Strategy and Business Development for Motorola’s CIO and IT organization, and has held various Corporate Business Development and IT roles at Bell Canada Enterprises and the Bank of Montreal in Toronto, Canada.
Paul Shoukry is chief financial officer of Raymond James Financial, Inc. (NYSE: RJF). He is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, including balance sheet management, financial reporting, investor relations, corporate development, corporate tax, cash management, regulatory reporting and financial planning and analysis. Mr. Shoukry also oversees the company’s ESG strategy, initiatives and reporting. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and serves on the boards of subsidiaries Raymond James & Associates and TriState Capital Bank.
