ReliaQuest to serve as official Cybersecurity partner of the Boston Celtics

BOSTON, MA – The Boston Celtics today announced their official partnership with ReliaQuest, making it the team’s official cybersecurity partner.

“Partnering with ReliaQuest will allow us to enhance our data and network security posture, and we’re confident their GreyMatter platform will enable the best possible protection of our in-house and cloud-based assets,” said Celtics Vice President and Chief Technology Officer Jay Wessland.

The Celtics chose ReliaQuest GreyMatter to improve visibility and control over its security model by connecting disparate technologies, processes and teams. GreyMatter uses a combination of machine learning and human analysis to proactively identify and address cybersecurity threats across an organization so that security teams can mobilize faster and more effective responses. The platform improves threat detection by four times in less than 90 days and allows for a 35 percent reduction in technology cost ownership by optimizing the effectiveness of existing assets.

ReliaQuest also served as the official presenting partner of the Celtics’ annual Seats for Soldiers Night, an initiative in which Season Ticket Members and fans donate game tickets to the United Service Organizations to benefit members of the United States Armed Services both past and present. Over 30 percent of ReliaQuest employees have served in various branches of the military.

“The threat landscape around professional sports leagues continues to grow, especially with the rise of fantasy sports sites, all the while teams like the Boston Celtics are focused on protecting both their sensitive data and end users, including coaches, scouts and players,” said Brian Murphy, CEO of ReliaQuest. “ReliaQuest is thrilled to provide the platform to help the Celtics stay secure this season and in the future. Cyber security is a team sport which is why we are equally excited to be able to partner with the Celtics community to support a program that honors those that have served in the Armed Forces both past and present.”
