This weekend we will learn which collegiate football teams will compete in the first annual ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa Bay on Monday, Jan. 2. ReliaQuest’s sponsorship of this bowl game is a rare opportunity, allowing us to raise awareness of the opportunities within cybersecurity while we continue to invest in our communities.

ReliaQuest was approached with the opportunity of sponsoring this bowl game, which had been with the same sponsor for the previous 20-plus years, in May of 2022. Since that time, there have been many hours of preparation, work and effort by student athletes, support staffs, coaches and others to make the New Year’s Day Bowl game possible. That kind of focused effort has a lot of similarities to what it takes to grow a cybersecurity company from a startup to a global organization.

Cybersecurity is one of the greatest technical challenges of our generation, and ReliaQuest believes cybersecurity is a team sport. Much like in athletics, success in technology takes accountability, consistent focus and the willingness to get better over time.

ReliaQuest exists to Make Security Possible. We are a force multiplier of security operations, working with the largest and most trusted brands in the world to increase visibility, reduce complexity and manage risk. Each year ReliaQuest donates millions of dollars and volunteers hundreds of hours in support of educational organizations like Junior Achievement, 3DE Schools, Think Big for Kids, as well as individual schools and universities. These partnerships give elementary, middle, high school, and college students opportunities to learn about and work in all phases of the cybersecurity industry. In this way, ReliaQuest is not only a force multiplier for today’s cybersecurity challenges, but also in building the future cybersecurity workforce.

Our goal of sponsoring this prominent bowl game is to continue to raise awareness of the importance of cybersecurity, to celebrate the commitment and excellence of the student athletes, coaches and their universities competing in this important game, and to highlight those who are making things possible in our communities.
