We are pleased to announce that the acquisition of Digital Shadows by ReliaQuest, announced only two months ago, has now closed.

ReliaQuest is on a mission to create a world-class security operations platform built on an Open XDR architecture that helps organizations increase visibility, reduce complexity, and manage risk. Digital Shadows threat intelligence technology and expertise is a valuable addition to ReliaQuest and provides an important “outside-in” perspective to ReliaQuest’s industry-leading threat detection and response, or “inside-out” perspective.

While ReliaQuest helps identify threats and malicious behavior across your network, cloud and endpoint infrastructure (inside-out), Digital Shadows provides additional insight via its threat intelligence data and insight that helps identify bad actors operating outside the confines of your perimeter (outside-in).

This 360-degree view of security threats, coupled with the ability to take action to mitigate these threats, will provide our customers with powerful new ways to stay ahead of attackers. The speed at which we were able to complete the acquisition process is a testament to the complementary nature of the solutions and the synergy between the teams at ReliaQuest and Digital Shadows.

We’re also excited to announce that the first set of integrations of Digital Shadows threat insights and threat intelligence data are available immediately.

These include:

Weekly Threat Intelligence Insights

ReliaQuest customers will receive new weekly threat intelligence updates from our new Digital Shadows global Photon Research Team. These weekly intelligence summaries, delivered each Friday, look at the top threat intelligence stories of the week to help keep customers up-to-date and aware of the latest security threats and trends. ReliaQuest’s Digital Shadows team uses a variety of analytical techniques to ensure it provides objective, robust, and high-quality intelligence.

Enhanced Emerging Threat Research

ReliaQuest, via the Photon Research Team, monitors the places cyber criminals collaborate and transact on the deep, dark, and open web. Drawing from over ten years of data and analyst expertise in 20+ languages, ReliaQuest will provide real-time updates on breaking intelligence news and cyber attacks.

Robust Indicators of Compromise and Threat Intelligence

ReliaQuest will integrate Digital Shadows IOCs (Indicators of Compromise) into the ReliaQuest GreyMatter platform. Customers will benefit from relevant, timely data to help determine actionable recommendations and will enrich ReliaQuest’s detection, investigation, and response (DIR) process.

Additionally, Digital Shadows Intelligence now draws on aggregated data from the attack surface ReliaQuest already protects, providing new primary-sourced data about existing and emerging threats. This information enriches the existing actionable threat intelligence in ReliaQuest SearchLight (now ReliaQuest’s GreyMatter Digital Risk Protection) and helps keep clients safer and better informed.

ReliaQuest: Continuing to Be the Force-Multiplier for Security Operations

Threat intelligence plays a crucial role in improving detection and response. However, to realize the true value of this intelligence, it must be actionable. By integrating Digital Shadows threat intelligence into the GreyMatter security operation platform, we are able to provide insight across networks, SIEMs, endpoints, and on-premises and hybrid cloud infrastructures and deliver powerful security outcomes for our customers.

As we move forward with the integration of Digital Shadows into ReliaQuest GreyMatter, we will continue to look for ways to help you force-multiply your security operations by providing a powerful platform and the actionable intelligence that security professionals need to stay ahead of attackers.
